The Icepack Vehicle Router

The Icepack Vehicle Router gives you a modular approach to building models. There are two schemas covered by the IVR: ivr7-kt461v8eoaif and ivr8-yni1c9k2swof. The IVR7 schema is a subset of IVR8 and is the right place to get started. The IVR series of models provide a high degree of customisation for several vehicle-routing use cases.

Dimension

Distance, Time and Capacity are all just dimensions. Read More »

Window

A defined interval within which things should happen. Read More »

Geocode

X marks the spot. Read More »

Location

Locations are where things happen in the schedule. Locations are defined independently of the work to be performed. Read More »

Task

The transaction that describes a unit of work in the schedule. Read More »

Job

A job describes a collection of tasks which need to be performed in a schedule. Read More »

Vehicle

Vehicles are the active resource being scheduled and aim to perform the tasks in the most efficient way. Read More »

Vehicle Class

Describes how vehicles move in the network. Read More »

Vehicle Cost Class

How collections of similar vehicles should be costed based on their activities. Read More »

Transit Set

Custom movement descriptions for a dimension. Read More »

Transit Generator

Custom movement descriptions for a dimension. Read More »

Compartment

Modelling areas of a vehicle which have additional side constraints. Read More »

Compartment Set

Collections of compartments. Read More »

Task Sequence

A sequence of tasks per vehicle which the engine should evaluate or use as a starting point in an optimisation routine. Read More »

Transit rules

Useful for modelling fatigue breaks or activities which are conditional on the cumulative value of a dimension. Read More »

Model

Puts it all together to define a stand-alone instance to be solved. Read More »

Solve Request

Optimise, Evaluate and ReOptimise. Read More »

Solution Response

It has the answers you’re looking for. Read More »

IVR Data Uploads

When you want to version some data on the API and reference it in another model. Read More »
